Why a "full" free CCNA exam matters

Most free CCNA practice tests online are 10 to 20 question previews. That's fine for a quick check, but it does not tell you whether you are ready for a 120-minute, 100+ question, timed Cisco exam. Fatigue matters. Question-type variety matters. Reading exhibits under time pressure matters. A 15-question teaser does not measure any of that.

The free CCNA exam on FigigExams is the same exam a paying customer gets, just unlocked with a promo code. It includes:

  • 100+ timed questions across all six CCNA 200-301 domains.
  • Single-answer, multi-answer, drag-and-drop, and refer-to-exhibit question types.
  • Timed mode so you learn to pace yourself under exam pressure.
  • Personalized Exam Coach report at the end (not just a score, concept-level analysis, more on that below).

Below, three interactive labs you can run right now, no signup, covering the domains that trip up the most candidates.

Lab 1 · IP Fundamentals · ~20% of exam

Subnetting Calculator

Enter any IPv4 address and prefix length to see the network address, broadcast, usable host range, and wildcard mask. Practice subnetting until it is automatic.
Enter an IP and prefix, then click Calculate.
CCNA concept: The prefix length (for example, /26) defines how many bits belong to the network portion. The wildcard mask is the bit-inverse of the subnet mask and is what OSPF and ACLs use in IOS. If you can compute these four values (network, broadcast, usable range, wildcard) in your head in under 60 seconds, you are ready for the CCNA subnetting questions.
Lab 2 · Network Access · ~20% of exam

Spanning Tree Root Bridge Election

Adjust the bridge priority and MAC address on each switch, then run the election. The switch with the lowest Bridge ID wins. Priority is compared first; MAC is the tiebreaker.
SW1 ROOT
SW2 ROOT
SW3 ROOT
SW4 ROOT
Click "Run Root Bridge Election" to see which switch wins.
CCNA concept: The Bridge ID is an 8-byte value: [2 bytes priority][6 bytes MAC]. Lowest Bridge ID wins. Default priority is 32768, and it can only be set in multiples of 4096 (due to the 12-bit extended system ID sharing those bits with the VLAN ID). Try setting two switches to priority 4096 and watch the lower MAC win the tiebreaker, that's exactly how the real exam questions are worded.
Lab 3 · IP Connectivity · ~25% of exam

OSPF Cost Calculator

Change the reference bandwidth and see how OSPF recalculates the cost for every common interface speed. Demonstrates why the default reference bandwidth is a trap.
Interface Bandwidth Raw Cost OSPF Cost (min 1)
CCNA concept: OSPF cost = reference bandwidth / interface bandwidth, rounded down, with a minimum of 1. With the default 100 Mbps reference, FastEthernet, GigabitEthernet, and 10 GigE all get cost 1, so OSPF cannot differentiate them. Always set auto-cost reference-bandwidth 10000 (or higher) on every router in the area so modern links get distinct costs. The rows in red above are where rounding up to 1 has erased the bandwidth difference.

What you get after the exam: a personalized Exam Coach report

Most practice exams give you a score and maybe a per-question explanation. FigigExams goes further. Every exam attempt produces a concept-level report that tells you exactly which ideas are holding you back, not just which domains.

🎯

Weak concept diagnosis

Not "you scored 42% on IP Connectivity." Instead: "you miss OSPF LSA Types and DR/BDR election specifically."

📊

Readiness score

A single number that estimates your pass confidence on the real exam. Updates every time you retake.

📚

Targeted study plan

An ordered list of topics to review next, ranked by impact on your score. No guessing what to study.

💬

Follow-up chat

Ask the Coach to explain a missed concept in plain English, show an IOS example, or give you a mnemonic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the free CCNA exam really full-length?

Yes. The free CCNA practice exam is a full 100+ question, timed exam that mirrors the real Cisco 200-301 format, including single-answer, multi-answer, drag-and-drop, and refer-to-exhibit items. It is not a short teaser.

How do I unlock the free CCNA exam?

Create a free FigigExams account and apply the promo code CCNA-EXAM-FULL at checkout. You will get the full CCNA practice exam at no cost. No credit card required. The button on this page pre-fills the code for you.

Do the CCNA labs on this page require any software?

No. The three labs run entirely in your browser. No Packet Tracer, no GNS3, no account needed to use them. The labs cover subnetting (IP Fundamentals), STP root bridge election (Network Access), and OSPF cost calculation (IP Connectivity), which together represent roughly two-thirds of the CCNA 200-301 exam blueprint.

Are there more interactive CCNA labs?

Yes. See the interactive STP simulator for a deeper spanning-tree topology walkthrough with root port election, designated ports, and traffic flow animation.

What do I get after finishing the free exam?

You get a personalized Exam Coach report. Instead of just a score, it identifies your weakest concepts (for example, OSPF LSA Types or STP port roles), gives a readiness percentage, and builds a targeted study plan ordered by impact on your score.

How does the free CCNA exam compare to paid options like Boson?

The free FigigExams exam is a full 100+ question timed test, which paid vendors typically do not offer for free. For a side-by-side comparison of price, question types, and reporting, see the Boson alternative for CCNA page.

Can I retake the free CCNA exam?

Yes. The free exam unlocked with CCNA-EXAM-FULL is retakeable, and every attempt produces a fresh Coach report you can compare against earlier attempts to track your readiness score over time.
