Why a bank you have already worked cannot measure you

Why your Network+ depth decides how hard Security+ will feel
Network+ is frequently treated as a box to tick on the way to Security+. That is a mistake with a measurable cost, because Security+ does not re-teach networking - it assumes it. The SY0-701 Security Architecture domain, 18% of that exam, is largely about where controls sit in a network topology. Candidates who half-learned subnetting, routing and the OSI layers do not struggle with the security content in Security+; they struggle to place it.
The practical implication for anyone using Network+ as a stepping stone: do not optimise for the minimum pass. The parts worth genuinely internalising rather than memorising are the OSI model, subnetting, and the troubleshooting methodology, because all three come back.
